Privacy Policy

The short version: we collect only what booking needs — your name, contact details, and (if you allow it) your location. We never sell your data, and your home address is shared only with the barber you booked, for that visit.

1. Who we are

BarberGo is a barber-shop booking marketplace operating in Morocco. For any question about this policy or your data, write to privacy@barbergo.ma.

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your name, email address, and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
  • Location: your GPS position when you use the map — this is optional, and the app works without it. For a home visit, the address pin and any note you add ("blue door, 3rd floor").
  • Booking data: the services, times, prices and status of your bookings, plus any reviews you leave.
  • Shop data (owners): shop name, description, address, coordinates, opening hours, services and prices. These are public by design. Photos you upload of your shop are stored with your listing and shown publicly.
  • Device data: if you enable push notifications, a device identifier so we can send them.

3. How we use it

To show barbers near you, deliver your booking to the shop, notify you when its status changes, and keep the marketplace safe (fraud and abuse prevention). We also use aggregate, anonymised statistics to improve the product. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. What we share — and with whom

When you book, the shop sees your name, contact details, the services you requested, and — for home visits only — the location pin and address note you provided. That's it. We do not sell personal data to advertisers or data brokers.

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service:

  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication. Data is stored in the EU (London region).
  • OneSignal — delivers push notifications to your device, if you enable them.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with your Google account.
  • OpenStreetMap — serves the map tiles. Tile requests carry the area of the map you're viewing, not your identity.

5. International transfers

Our infrastructure is hosted in the European Union, so your personal data is processed outside Morocco. The EU provides a level of data protection comparable to that required by Moroccan law. If you would prefer your data not to be processed abroad, please don't create an account, and contact us with any questions first.

6. Your rights

Under Morocco's Law 09-08 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data, you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to object to its processing, and to have it deleted. You can exercise these rights in the app under your profile, or by writing to privacy@barbergo.ma. We respond within 30 days.

Deleting your account removes your personal data. Anonymised booking records — with no information identifying you — may be retained for statistical purposes.

7. Retention & children

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. BarberGo is not directed at children under 15, and we delete accounts we find to be underage.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll update the date at the top of this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
